Admire the Views at Europa Point
Europa Point, Gibraltar
Europa Point is the southernmost tip of Gibraltar and one of the stops on some of our Gibraltar Tours. It is a place where history, culture, and breathtaking natural beauty come together. From this vantage point, visitors can enjoy incredible panoramic views across the Strait of Gibraltar, with the coast of Africa clearly visible on a clear day.

One of the main attractions at Europa Point is the striking Trinity Lighthouse, built in 1841. This historic lighthouse still guides ships entering the Mediterranean and remains a symbol of Gibraltar’s maritime heritage.

Nearby stands the Sikorski Memorial, dedicated to General Władysław Sikorski, the Polish leader who tragically died in a plane crash off Gibraltar in 1943. The memorial is an important reminder of Gibraltar’s role during the Second World War. Visitors can also explore Harding’s Battery, a restored 19th-century artillery installation that once formed part of Gibraltar’s coastal defences.

Today, the site offers educational exhibits and spectacular sea views. Europa Point is not only rich in history but also a perfect location for photography and reflection. Whether admiring the views toward North Africa, visiting its historic landmarks, or simply enjoying the sea breeze, Europa Point remains an essential destination on any Gibraltar Tour.
