Admire the Views at Europa Point
Europa Point, Gibraltar
Europa Point is the southernmost point of Gibraltar and a popular stop on our Gibraltar Tours. Located at the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar, it offers spectacular views across the strait towards the coast of North Africa, which can be clearly seen on a fine day.

One of the most prominent landmarks at Europa Point is Trinity Lighthouse, built in 1841. The lighthouse continues to serve as an important navigational aid for ships entering and leaving the Mediterranean and is an important part of Gibraltar's maritime heritage.

The Sikorski Memorial stands nearby and commemorates General Władysław Sikorski, the Polish military and political leader who died in a plane crash off Gibraltar in 1943. The memorial reflects Gibraltar's strategic importance during the Second World War.

Europa Point is also home to Harding's Battery, a restored 19th-century coastal artillery installation. Originally built to defend Gibraltar's southern coastline, the battery now features exhibits explaining its military history and provides excellent views across the Strait of Gibraltar.
With its combination of historic landmarks, military heritage and panoramic sea views, Europa Point is an important destination on a Gibraltar Tour. It is also an ideal location for photography, particularly when views across to North Africa are clear.
