A 1 hour 45 minute private tour showcasing some of Gibraltar’s most spectacular sights, from panoramic Mediterranean views and the famous St Michael’s Cave to the Skywalk and Gibraltar’s iconic Barbary macaques. Along the way, you’ll also discover the Windsor Suspension Bridge, Moorish Castle and the historic Old Town, with a private guide taking care of everything throughout your Gibraltar experience.

The Pillars of Hercules
Your tour begins with a stop at the Pillars of Hercules, one of Gibraltar’s most impressive viewpoints at the southern tip of the Rock. From here, you can look across the Strait of Gibraltar towards the coast of North Africa and Morocco.
This is also where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea at the entrance to the Mediterranean. Looking in the opposite direction, you’ll have views towards Europa Point, the southernmost point of Gibraltar.
St Michael's Cave
Deep inside the Rock, St Michael’s Cave provides a completely different experience. This vast natural cavern has been shaped over millions of years as rainwater gradually filtered through the limestone, creating the remarkable formations found throughout the cave.
The cave is now enhanced by The Awakening, an immersive light and sound experience introduced in 2021. Carefully designed lighting brings the natural formations and sculptures to life, creating a memorable atmosphere within one of Gibraltar’s most famous natural landmarks.
Top of the Rock
Skywalk Glass Viewing Platform & Monkeys
Next, we head to the summit of the Rock, where you’ll experience two of Gibraltar’s best-known attractions: the Skywalk and the Barbary macaques.
Built on the site of a former military lookout, the Skywalk features a glass viewing platform extending out from the Rock. Its elevated position provides spectacular 360° views across Gibraltar, the Mediterranean, the Strait and towards the coast of North Africa.
A short walk from the Skywalk brings us to the Upper Apes’ Den, where you’ll have the opportunity to see Gibraltar’s famous Barbary macaques in their natural environment.
Gibraltar is home to more than 200 Barbary macaques living across several groups within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. They are the only wild monkeys found in Europe and have become one of the most recognisable symbols of Gibraltar.
Legend has it that in 1942 the population of apes fell to just 7 and the Prime Minister of Great Britain (Sir Winston Churchill) ordered that the population of the apes be immediately replenished because as long as there are Barbary Macaques Apes on the Rock of Gibraltar it will remain under British rule.
Windsor Suspension Bridge
Leaving the top of the Rock, the tour continues towards the Windsor Suspension Bridge, an impressive structure spanning a deep gorge on the Upper Rock.
The 71-metre-long bridge crosses a gorge approximately 50 metres deep, offering dramatic views across Gibraltar and the surrounding landscape. It’s another great opportunity to appreciate the scale and rugged terrain of the Rock.
Moorish Castle and Old Town of Gibraltar
As we make our way down from the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, you’ll see the exterior of the historic Moorish Castle, one of Gibraltar’s most significant medieval landmarks.
The castle complex dates back to the Moorish period, with the Tower of Homage forming its most prominent surviving feature. Its walls have witnessed centuries of conflict between the Moors, Spanish and British, and some of the scars from Gibraltar’s turbulent past can still be seen today.
The route then continues through Gibraltar’s historic Old Town, giving you a glimpse of the traditional streets and buildings before the tour comes to an end.
