Experience Gibraltar's spectacular views, meet the famous Barbary macaques and discover some of the Rock's historic sites — all in just 1 hour.
This private tour is ideal for visitors with limited time or those looking for a budget-friendly way to experience the highlights of the Rock. The tour includes three main stops:
- Pillars of Hercules (South Views)
- Top of the Rock with Monkeys (East & West Views)
- Princess Caroline's Battery (North Views)
The Pillars of Hercules
Our first stop is the Pillars of Hercules, where you can enjoy views across the Strait of Gibraltar towards Morocco and North Africa.
From this southern viewpoint, you can see where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea at the entrance to the Mediterranean. You will also be overlooking Europa Point, the southernmost point of Gibraltar.
Top of the Rock with Monkeys
We then head to the Top of the Rock, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Gibraltar's eastern and western sides.
At the Upper Apes' Den, you will also have the opportunity to see Gibraltar's famous Barbary macaques. They are Europe's only wild monkey population and live within Gibraltar's Upper Rock Nature Reserve.
There are currently more than 200 macaques living across several groups within the Nature Reserve.
Breathtaking Views of the North Side
From the top of the Rock we will drive to the north side of the Rock to see the views of that side of the Rock.
From the Upper Rock, we continue towards the northern side of Gibraltar for views across the airport runway and the Spanish border.
The airport is located immediately beside the border crossing, making this one of Gibraltar's most distinctive viewpoints.
Moorish Castle and Old Town of Gibraltar
On our way down from the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, we pass the Moorish Castle, one of Gibraltar's most important historic fortifications.
Originally built in the medieval period, the castle has played a significant role in Gibraltar's history. The Tower of Homage was rebuilt in the 14th century, and parts of the fortress still show evidence of the conflicts that took place around the Rock.
We then drive through Gibraltar's Old Town before finishing the tour.
The tour can finish at a location of your choice in Gibraltar. If you would like to explore Main Street and the pedestrianised areas of the town, we can provide a map and recommendations for the main sights to visit, as well as directions back to your accommodation or onward destination.

Our tours are private rather than shared, and admission tickets are included in the price.
